It's the best Temptations cd ever I would recemend it to any Motown fan. Their version of Old Man River is a killer.

- Great CD anthology by a fabulous group

This wonderful 2CD music program is an essential collection of the Temptations' greatest hits, and Eddie Kendricks, perhaps the group's best lead singer, gets things going with the group's first hit, "The Way You Do the Things You Do". Some of their appealing B sides are here as well. The Temptations' legend really began with their big hit, "My Girl", with David Ruffin singing the lead vocals and it was during Ruffin's run as the group's lead vocalist that the Temptations really took off, scoring hit after hit until misconduct by Ruffin led to his dismissal from the group in 1968. Kendricks and later Dennis Edwards took over the lead singing chores and the Temptations kept the hits coming and retained their popularity because of their fine singing and their wonderful choreography which was imitated and envied by other groups and put them in a class by themselves. There are assorted anthologies and greatest hits compilations out there but this set is the best of all.

I was so happy to find this classic music release after having my own "permanently borrowed". The CD arrived much faster than the estimated time of arrival. Although I had a copy of my original CD, what I didn't have was the liner notes with photos of historical information. The caliber of the CD was just like new. If you cherish this landmark R&B group as much as I do, you'll have christmas in September.
