I have both of the Temptations previously released Christmas
recordings. I have also bought their newest release of classic
Temptation Christmas selections. Anytime you can get one CD of
the Temptation's vocal stylings with the best of their previous
songs, you must have it! I am a big fan of the Temptations and
see them as often as possible. This CD is magic. It brings me
to an innocent time in history and inhances the Christmas holiday. In the terroristic times in which we live a little old
time peace and comfort, especially from the Temptations is a
truely precious thing. Buy this CD. It's the best of 2 rolled into 1.
This recent offering is a combination of CHRISTMAS CARD and GIVE LOVE AT CHRISTMAS albums with Eddie Kendricks' "Hohoho...This is your Singing Santa.." greeting from A MOTOWN CHRISTMAS CAROL on the first track. The previously unreleased, O HOLY NIGHT is from the post-1971 era. Nice collection if you don't have these CDs already!
This is an old time favorite of my husband's. When he couldn't find the cd for the holidays he was very disappointed. He was so happy when I presented him with an early Christmas gift. Very good quality. The best is when the Temptations wish you a very merry Christmas!
This was a good cd. I loved all of my temptation favorites. My children enjoyed the cd too. I would definitely buy it again.
This cd has all of the best songs from each of the two Christmas albums without repeating any songs. Also you get the bonus track "Oh Holy Night".The reviewer who said that this version of "Silent Night" is not notable must not have been listening very closely to Dennis Edward's vocal-"as I sit around the fireplace watching the gleamin' tree, if I had one wish in this world it would be that all men would be free, let's all hold hands and celebrate the saviors birth..." overlapping the standard lyric.Only the weakest songs and/or weaker of two versions were cut out.Buy this.
