- Please, don't be shy!

OK, so here we have another score of those TD soundtracks. And this one is not one of my favourites, not because it's a bad album but there are too many fillers on this one making it boring in the end. But if you really want a complete soundtrack collection then get this one.

The first track Shy People starts of with Edgars guitar and then later on a woman starts singing, and this is a very nice track, but it would be an even nicer track if it was completely instrumental!

Joes Place is a track that could be used in the Near Dark soundtrack, a dark piece and quite moody too.

The third track, The Harbor is one of the best tracks on this CD IMO. Guitars and nice keyboard playing is what we get here in this fast paced track which takes us straight back to the Three O' Clock Soundtrack style. Good one though!

The Nightfall track is a bit boring, not much to say about it, but I guess it fits in the movie. A possible filler track.

Dancing On A White Moon is another track which is sung by a woman, not quite TD style here but it's not a bad track, but not a good track either. It's an ok song nothing more.

On to track 6 we got Civilized Illusions, which is the stand out track on this album! A very good track with the right touch of TD, the way we want them to play when we hear a good soundtrack. Fast paced with great atmosphere!! Fits perfectly!

Swamp Voices is a song you would think came from Legend Soundtrack, but this being a more haunting song with a dark atmosphere added to it. One of those great dark TD tracks is what we got here! Nice one!

Transparent Days is slow and to me a very uninspired song with nothing good in it. A bit boring tune, or should I say a filler track? You decide.

I guess the last track is the End Credits song, since it's called Shy People. Nice song but not as good as the first with Edgars guitar playing in the beginning. I would say another filler, but as an end credits song it does it's job.

So, to sum up this album. It is recommended if you are a serious collector, but if not then stay out of this one!

- A Great Piece for any TD Fan!

I've always loved this soundtrack and had to add it to my collection. I bought it primarily for the track "Dancing on a White Moon;" which is AWESOME in my opinion. The movie itself was decent, but the score is definitely a Tangerine Dream classic. It shares the sound that much of their other material had during that time. Just wish I had bought it years ago, as it's now difficult to find and costly to purchase even a used copy. Still if you're a fan, you really have to hear this one!

- What Can Be Done When One Is Not Shy To Take On Projects

Recorded in 1987 and released one year later, the 36:06 again shows Edgar Froese keeping the band extremely busy with side projects - along with issuing new material and touring - but maintaining a good rate of creativity with band-mates Christopher Franke and Paul Haslinger.

The vocal and instrumental versions of the title track (total clocking of nearly 13 minutes) are the foundation pieces, with Jacquie Virgil performing on the former. The Harbor, Nightfall and Swamp Voices swirl with interesting soundscapes.

The history of this album supposedly found TD scrambling in the studio to complete the material, with Virgil brought in with literally a few hours left in the recording process. Though not the optimum way to keep the quality high, this hectic race against the clock actually worked out well in the end.
