- Incredible voice

I'm glad that this album is now available on CD. It contains some real gems. Her voice is incredible, very clear and sharp. I get the chills when I hear Tammy's singing. No other singer has that effect on me except rock's Grace Slick. I only wish that there would be some mention of the musicians involved in these recordings. I recommend this cd to anyone whether or not they are a fan of country music. These recording may sound simple but this is some really deep stuff.

- Classic Wynette Country

Tammy Wynette earlier in her career was a bit twangy for me. But that catch in her voice is unmistakably Wynette. Her later work shows a maturity in her voice that served her better and made her the undisputed Queen of Heartache. There is still a lot of classic country here especially 'Don't Touch Me" and "Walk Through the World With Me". This cd also includes many covers including the Beatles' classic "Yesterday".
