Review - Product Description
This is the long awaited critical review of Marc Bolan and T-Rex from the heady days of Ride A White Swan to major success in the United States with Get It On. Drawing on extensive rare archive footage of T-Rex, much of it never before released on DVD, we discover the power of T-Rex on stage from surviving footage of amazing concert performances. In the company of a leading team of critics, former T-Rex members and the legendary B.P. Fallon, the original purple browed beep, this a rare opportunity to experience once again the greatness of the work of Marc Bolan and discover the brilliance of T-Rex in full song.

- ......Ooooooo such a rip off

I really don't know who this product should be aimed at, if you're a new fan and you have never seen footage of Marc then yes this is for you but there are better products and compilations out there mainly on video which could be picked up off ebay or the Marc Bolan fan club. For a long time fan I thought this was poorly put together

1. The whole package could have been put on one disc instead of the two

2. No full songs just snippets

3. A lot of the footage didn't even match the songs that were being portrayed

4. Critics and reviewers who meant nothing to me and whose comments meant even less

5. The footage shown you have seen so many times.

If you're a fan then its just something for your collection, you'll watch it once and just file it away, basically its unoriginal, just another cash in and its put together like a child's scrap book.

I bought this with Born to boogie, go for that its fabulous and with Rolan getting involved in the T.Rex name perhaps he can be persuaded to get more credible performances such as Top of the pops etc on to DVD

- a waste of time and money!

Very disappointing. This appears to be an item collected by a group of people who "review" the music and thoughts of Marc Bolan. If T.rex music interests to you, purchase a music release ( major/minor record label cd), a concert dvd, or even some of the Marc TV shows released on dvd and vhs. Skip this drivel altogether including the cd of the same title. I wouldn't even give this a one star rating as a Bolan fan.

- Not worth the money

My husband went out and bought me this, knowing that I've been a T Rex fan for years. After about 10 minutes we decided to stop watching it and took it back to the shop. This DVD is extremely annoying because what I want to see is T Rex and not a load of people talking about how great T Rex were. Everytime they start showing a song one of the critics interrupt it, meaning you never get to see an entire song and rarely even get to see and hear 10 seconds. Worse still, the bits they do show are of a poor quality.

We changed it for 'Born to Boogie' which I can recommend to any T Rex fan; a fantastic DVD in marvellous colour and sound!!
