Review
The eight-song Motown cassettes, released in 1989 on CD, all follow the same pattern -- two or three hits mixed with obscure cuts. Diana Ross, Mary Wells and Florence Ballard rock on "Those D.J. Shows." Diana Ross gives Tammi Terrell's "Come on and See Me" a lighter, softer reading then the original. Motown had to be overloaded with songs for tight numbers like "Misery Makes Its Home in My Heart" and "Ooowee Baby" to get ignored; both songs were cut in the early to mid-'60s. Super hits "Come See About Me" and "Stop! In the Name of Love" are the only recognizable songs among the eight here. The rare cuts make this a must for Supremes fanatics. [The CD version contains three extra songs.] ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
