- Good song but the CD disappoints

Now, unlike most people I actually liked Girls Aloud and Sugababes' version of "Walk This Way." It was panned, but I thought it was a funky song. GA and Sugababes are two of my favourite bands, so to have them team up on a song was exciting. Before I heard the song, I wasn't enthused about the idea, but when I heard the song, I changed my mind. It was for charity, so give it a break, ok?

The song is good, but the problem with this is the CD is incredibly boring. No new b-sides, from either GA or Sugababes. Even another song with them together would have been good. But all we get is this:

01. Walk This Way [Radio Edit]

This song is a lot of fun! All of the girls get a chance to sing, even if it's only for a couple of lines. My favourite vocals come from Nicola, Amelle, Kimberley and Heidi. Nadine and Keisha do great backing vocals on the choruses though. The whole song is really catchy with Cheryl providing backup for the whole song. It's a short little ditty, only 2:58 but packs a lot in. The lyrics are changed slightly to relate to girls instead of guys. Great. (5/5)

02. Walk This Way [Yoad Mix]

So instead of a b-side or whatever, we get a remix from a remixer I've never heard of. But I digress because it's actually not bad. It's a bit longer in length then the original song, but not by much. It's basically the same song but with sped up clubby music. Pretty good, but a b-side would have been better. (3.5/5)

03. Walk This Way [Video & Behind The Scenes footage]

The video is included on the single as a bonus. It recreates the Aerosmith/Run DMC version of the video with the two bands singing in separate rooms. They all share a microphone between their respective groups, then come together on the last choruses on a catwalk with celebrities in the audience. The girls look great, but the video is slightly cheesey. There's also some behind the scenes footage of how the video was made. (4/5)

The best bit about the CD is the radio edit of "Walk This Way" and the cover, cos it looks awesome. Main point is, great song but the CD is disappointing. 3 stars.

- What it is...

For me its an enjoyable and fun time had by Sugababes and Girls Aloud..since i'm a big fan of both groups. I loved the original song without question i mean Run DMC and Aerosmith who would've thought that would happen. But i enjoy this version by them they bring a bit of attitude and fun to the cover of Walk This Way and for me that's what i enjoy most. Not only about the song but the accompanying video as well. Good ya girls!!

- Cute; but disappointing

Ok so I like Girls aloud a lot and i think that Sugababes are OK: but this is not at all of their usual standards. I likes Walk this way by Aerosmith AND by RUN DMC but somehow this is not that good. Take two talented girl bands: one which can do perfect pop (Girls Aloud) and one that is slightly more hip (Sugababes) and have them murder a nice hard rock /hip hop crossover classic. OK it is for a good cause so I do not care but still they could and should have done a lot better. Shame on all of them...
