- A great single -- should be a success in the USA!!!

I really like the Sugababes' "Round Round" single. The remixes are really cool -- especially the Soulwax Remix. The album version is good too. The other remixes are excellent! It'd be really neat if the Sugababes can have success in the States -- 'cos they make really good music! While I gave this single 5 stars, one thing I wish that was on it was the "Round Round" video...but, other than that, it is a great single. You won't be dissapointed.

- One of the best single of the year! No, Really...

The babes gives us on of the best single of the year. The song Round, Round is dirty, sassy, sexy and oh-so terribly and immediately catchy and memorable. The babes had the guts to take off all the cheese out of their songs, which result maybe of the track being completely unplayed by radio stations. I don't know why, cause it has the same unknown, sophisticated and british style that made Daniel Bedingfield's Gotta Get Thru This a top ten hit in the US.

Remember guys, this song has been a no.1 in UK. On both Airplay and Sales charts.C'mon, give it a try!!

- just buy it already

... Yes, this is a girl group. And, yes, this is pop. But my, oh my, is this good. A definite "girl power" song but way more laid back and the music just kicks. The soulwax mix is worth the price of admission alone. The mix is around the same length of the radio edit (track four is the longest - right around 5 minutes give or take), but has a serious driving bass/keyboard line that forces you to shake your hips and sing along. It has a slight eighties feel to it but is unquestionably contemporary. This mix also does NOT have the bit in the song where it slows down for a moment and one of the babes sings "Does it hurt when you see how I've done....". All other mixes do and the only good part about that slowed down bit is the fact that the song eventually kicks back in. It is brief and I can overlook it in sight of a wonderful pop number. "I don't need no man get my kicks for free" And THANK YOU babes for paying your own way. Sure is refreshing....Oh, mix 2 sounds kinda like "I feel love" (ROCKS!) and the forth mix is kinda two-step and has some dude rapping (FYI).

- The 'babes Second Go 'Round'

After a less than stellar success with their first go round the pop circuit, the Sugababes were dropped by their label. It was a shame because they had some truly great material. Happily, they were given a new lease on life with a chart topping mash-up of the Adina Howard dirty R&B classic "Freak Like Me". This record safely deposited a new line-up (one of the girls had left the group) of 'babes at the top of the UK chart. They followed that electrifying effort with this, another UK #1, the hard throbbing "Round Round". Words are nearly useless in describing how infectious this song is. The track also takes a good stab at remixes, with electro and 2-step being the flavor of choice. Soulwax provides THE mix of the track, dark and dirty, it's perfect for the song. Another amazing mix is the 80's synth dipped reworking from Craigie & Chricton. The Seani B mix is okay, but I'm sure a better garage style mix could have been accomplished. All the way around, it's a dynamite pop single, and deserves to ride high in America, like it did in the UK.

- A decent single, all things considered

Overall, I really like the flow of "Round Round" (although there is a break in the middle where the track suddenly slows down drastically, then picks back up; the break isn't bad, but it draws attention to itself). Outside of that break, the song makes me want to dance.

The "Craigie & Crichton Remix" has an interesting buildup at the beginning, although I wish it was a little shorter. The mix makes the song more "club friendly," and at times, the bassline is very reminiscent to Animotion's "Obsession" (however, the sections that sound like "Obsession" don't seem to entirely work with the vocals that they're mixed with).

The "Soulwax Remix" has an interesting sound in its percussion, which makes the song sound "harder." And at times, the bassline sounds close to one I might hear on an industrial track. This remix presents the song in a very different light, but it doesn't destroy the intregity of the original.

The "Seani B Remix (featuring Zaguzaar)" slows the tempo down and tries to recast the song as an R&B jam, but it just doesn't work. There are "shout out"s thrown in to both the remixer and to the Sugababes in the mix that are annoying and don't add anything. The worst part of the mix, though, is around the middle of the track, where a rapper trying to sound like Shaggy (the rapper, not the character from Scooby-Doo) delivers a rap that sounds like it's only there to pump up the remixer's ego.

Overall, this is a decent single. I would be willing to recommend it to anyone who appreciates dance music, but I would advise them to avoid the "Seani B Remix (featuring Zaguzaar)."
