Análisis
While 2000's live album Schrei! was primarily a heavy metal recording, Herzblut marks a return to the creative style Subway to Sally has consistently displayed throughout their five album pre-Schrei! history. They are most effective when they combine progressive rock with metal rhythms and folk or early music touches. Herzblut also begins their association with Island/Mercury records, and since (aside from their previous album) their style hasn't noticeably changed it is hopeful that their new label can successfully market this talented group to the world outside of the German speaking regions of Europe. Even though they sing exclusively in German, Subway to Sally should appeal to those who appreciate sophisticated and impeccably performed progressive metal. ~ Dave Sleger, All Music Guide
