Este DVD es EXCELENTE si sabes de lo que Soda Stereo se trataba cuando tocaban en vivo.

Es un 'tengo que tener' si además asististe a alguno de los conciertos de despedida o si alguna vez los viste en concierto.

Lo negativo: ¡Imagen y sonido están claramente desfasados!

Conforme avanzas y te acercas al final del concierto, logras escuchar un platillo de la bateria y a la imagen de Alberti todavía le falta como un segundo para hacer esa acción. Ni que decir de la boca de Ceratti durante 'De música ligera' que no coincide en nada con lo que estás escuchando.

Por otra parte, seguiré sin comprender nunca la política retrógradamente mercantil de las disqueras sacando a la luz un DVD que bien pudieron haber sacado desde hace varios años atrás. ¿Acaso es Lois la razón de haber sacado ésta edición como si se tratara de un tributo?

Si el concierto de Buenos Aires fue igual a lo que cantaron en las despedidas de Chile, Mexico y Venezuela, tampoco es entendible por que dejar fuera ciertas canciones del DVD que, evidentemente, se deben de encontrar inmortalizadas en las cintas (audio y video) maestras.

Mis sugerencias son: debes adquirirlo de inmediato pero no lo veas y escuches juntos. Súbele a todo, cierra los ojos y recuerda como nos dijo adiós desde su lugar de nacimiento una de las mejores bandas que han existido.

Sin lugar a dudas se trata de un 5 estrellas con nota de 'cuidado' dirigido a la disquera que no revisan minuciosamente los productos que sacan al mercado y que parece que les da lo mismo sacar un producto de un artista de moda que de un artista no actual.

Soda Stereo was with no doubt the greatest rock band in Latin America from the mid eighties to the mid nineties. From album to album they evolved enriching their musical language and therefore innovating the forms of "rock en español", without recurring to fusion of rock with latin folklore, which in itself is not a bad thing, it can be interesting, but Soda Stereo proved that a Latin Rock Band could make the best of rock music in Spanish, and could be favorably compared to their anglosaxon peers. For those of us who lamented their breakup, and are haunted by nostalgia, this DVD of their final concert in Buenos Aires functions as a partial cure, there we have Soda Stereo, with their powerful presence, portrayed in peak form musically..., but unfortunetly, the DVD production does not make justice to their musical mastery. A more cinematic hand was missing there! For all of us who love the music of Soda Stereo that failure will not matter much in the end, but surely it will for those who are not acquainted with their music and have their first approach to Soda throug this DVD. Because it is not simply that at times music and image do not match, it is simply that there is not a good job at the camera level. Visually the concert ends up turning tedious, and that is sad, because the cinematic language is not put to good use here. Song after song the time passes, and the camera either moves lousily or does not move at all; on the other hand, there was no use of video segments in some of the songs for which that might have worked, the viewer does not have interesting views of the public out there, and details that could have been given prominence in the stage are simply missed, for example, the performance of the musicians that accompanied the band. They just were shown as part of the backdrop. Compare this DVD with the excellent one that presents Brazilian singer songwriter Caetono Veloso, "Hombre de Fina Estampa", and you will understand what I mean. It is a shame that even the band leader, Cerati, or the bassist, Bosio, who had both such an impressive performance in the stage were not given a right treatment by the camera.

Anyway, if you love Soda Stereo, or even if you want to have an approach as a possible fan of the band, buy the dvd, but concentrate mostly in the music, because in spite of my reservations, there is a bit of value added to the DVD over the two audio cds of the final concert that are well known to the fans.

La produccion de este dvd es merecedora de un despido por parte de la disquera responsable. Es una pena que esta maravilla de concierto no haya tenido una revision antes de su produccion pues, como mencionaba alguien en su review, el sonido y la imagen estan completamente disparejos.

La musica es excelente, las imagenes memorables, pero como dvd musical deja mucho que desear ese defecto en produccion.

Una mala imagen para la que fue sin duda alguna la mejor banda de rock en espanol...y el mejor concierto!

¿Como es que sea posible sentir nostalgia por lo que uno mismo no vivio? Pues, muy facil, con este DVD. En el 1997, yo todavia muy joven, no me habia enterado del buen rock argentino. Hace como 5 años, una amiga me presento un disco de Soda, y ahí cambio mi vida. Ya un verdadero fanático de este grupo, soñaba con el ultimo concierto de River, y aquí está, con una calidad estupenda de video y sonido. Me sentí muy triste al final del concierto... sentí como que, para mí, la banda había recién terminado, y Soda ya me hacía falta. Sin duda, para sentir una nostalgia profunda, compren el DVD de este último concierto. Felicidades SODA!

Estoy pasmado despues de haber visto este concierto. Aunque yo no estuve alli, al ver el dvd me senti dentro del concierto, es una pieza de coleccion para sodamaniacos. Ver todos los temas que hemos escuchado durante toda la trayctoria de soda nos hacen recordar viejos tiempos. Simplemente es buenisimo, en imagen y sonido, contenido, y edicion. Y lo mas emotivo, es ver cuando se acercan a las ultimas canciones del concierto y ver como la nostalgia invade a Gustavo Cerati y a Charly Alberti especialmente, y el segundo punto, es que este documental fue el utlimo trabajo hecho por Alfredo Lois, quien estuvo a cargo de los videos y artes de portadas de los albunes de soda;murio de cancer.

Si quieres tener algo realmente duradero de soda, te recomiendo que compres este dvd, es de verlo varias veces sin parar.
