This Motown superstar's Christmas album is really a showcase for Robinson's timeless voice. Warm and romantic, Smokey Robinson is a consummate singer, a pharaoh of the falsetto and alto ranges who owns one of the 1960s' truly golden throats; when he sings all the other Miracles seem to fade into the mix. Robinson's lyrically rich version of the Stevie Wonder-penned "It's Christmas Time" highlights a 16-song collection of familiar seasonal fare and public-service greetings. Boomers who remember this from their lives as kids may want to share it with their children or their children's children, if only to commemorate the singing genius of that other Mr. Robinson. --Martin Keller
