Review - Product Description
Finally after countless requests from fans, friends, and family, Sister Hazel will be releasing their long-awaited holiday record. Santa's Playlist is a collection of holiday songs that show a wide range of what has come to be known as the Sister Hazel sound. As diverse and unique as it is comforting and familiar, Sister Hazel just feels like home and what better place to be for the holidays. From classics and standards remade in their own unique way, to obscure Christmas tunes, to several of the band's originals, there's a little something for everyone here. The making of the record became a unique endeavor in and of itself. Ken Block explains: We were all really motivated to make this CD, but in order for us to finish it in time for this year's holiday, we had to do a lot of tracking on the road. We recorded in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Memphis, Atlanta, Myrtle Beach, Dallas, and Gainesville while we were touring. That in itself created a great energy. It was a lot of work, but we had a blast.

- Not Just Another Christmas Album

I initially bought this album out of a sense of obligation. Ken, Drew, and the guys from Sister Hazel grew up in my hometown and were very popular there before they were popular nationwide. I bought the album without ever hearing a single track, just because I love their songs and they remind me of home. I listened to the album in the car (begrudgingly because I try to avoid Christmas Music until after Thanksgiving) and it sent chills down my spine. Ken's rendition of The River is absolutely amazing. This is not "just another Christmas mix album," this is something special.

- Sister!

We saw Sister a few years ago in Hampton Beach, NH. They were walking down the street and stopped to say hello to their fans. What a bunch of cool, nice guys. Very laid back and friendly. Just had to buy this and have to say it is a good non-commercial effort. Way to go guys!

- Harmony like no one else can do!

This is as all Sister Hazel cd's are...harmony at it's finest! It's got the best of the Christmas songs we remember from days gone by along with some new ones that have a more modern sound and style. All done with the beautiful harmonious voices that they call Sister Hazel! I highly recommend this cd.

- Sister Hazel does it again

Few rock bands ever attempt a holiday album, so I feared this would be lame. It isn't. It follows Sister Hazel's easy-going style and is very memorable. Worth it!

- Great christmas album

I bought this for my husband for Christmas in 2007, but we really didn't get to listen to it too much until this holiday season. This was our new favorite Christmas album. It was just a nice break to some of the traditional versions of some of these songs. We are huge SH fans so we were so glad to see this album!
