- Have fun listening to "No Fun"

This legal bootleg is worthy of owning simply for the amazing cover of the Stooges' "No Fun." This live version from the 1978 Dallas show is superior to the version on the b-side of "Pretty Vacant." Also, this disc has the infamous explitive-filled Bill Grundy interview. Probably the most consistent Pistols "official bootleg" out there.

- Another collection for serious Sex Pistols fans only.

Twelve tracks (40+ minutes) comprising demos, interviews, a few live cuts, and a couple of rare offerings: Here We Go Again; Revolution in the Classroom.

Just like Pirates of Destiny, this collection is a mixed bag. Most of the tracks have been heard before. How many different versions of the same song do you really need ?

There are a few funny tracks, such as the Bill Grundy interview (track 9) where the Sex Pistols were invited to say something outrageous on the air. While the F...word might have shocked some 20 years ago, it has clearly lost much of its impact.

This CD should not have been released by itself. With proper editing, a little bit of effort on sleeve notes, it might have formed part of a decent box set / retrospective on the Sex Pistols. Shame, that Castle Communications didn't think about that first. They've done a good job on other artists. Save your money folks, and hope that a decent box set will appear. I haven't seen "There and Back Again" yet, maybe this one is worth it. Will see.
