Análisis - Product Description
Digitally remastered edition of this 1969 classic from French singer, songwriter and entertainer Serge Gainsbourg and his muse, British vocalist and actress Jane Birkin. Without a doubt, Gainsbourg is agent provocateur and Gallic soul brother #1. His sensual work is championed by all in the know and still resonates quite frankly in these sexually exaggerated times. The album Jane Birkin And Serge Gainsbourg (often referred to as Je t'aime moi non plus) now comes with a 32 page booklet with new liner notes, original artwork, and English/French lyrics. 12 tracks. Light In The Attic.

- masterpiece!

Yes the king serge, and his queen Jane... This has to be one of the greatest albums of all time... Easily one of the top Serge releases. Needless to say what you have here is sophisticated "orchestral" pop on a level seldom touched by mere mortals outside of the beatles or possibly the zombies. This record isn't as funk heavy as his later releases (melody nelson pour example) or as wacked out as "the man with a cabbage head" .. this is more of a cerebral adult kind of pop music. But still packs some amazing bass riffs and killer drums (namely annee erotique)... Serges vocals are so high in the mix you can almost hear the beard stubble on the mic, and Birkin sounds like she's ready to cry on about every track... amazing and essential...

- Jane Birkin is a goddess that would not be topped by Bardot.

This album is a passionate love tale with humor. I'm so glad B. Bardot didn't allow her recordings of the songs to be released. Jane is so intimate and raw and the passion between her and Serge is radiating throughout. Je T'aime...Moi Non is one of the most sensual beautiful songs ever recorded between lovers. This is not a studio creation like modern day music. The energy between real husband and wife is evident. And this disc is a must own for any Serge Gainsbourg fan and lover of great music.

- An average album

I actually bought this album for one song on it which I had remembered hearing many years' ago but never bought the record.

I wasn't particularly impressed with the rest of the album and didn't even particularly like the song I bought it for which was "Je t'aime, Moi Non". It was a case of remembering something as better than it was or else it just doesn't appeal to me as it did when first released.

Annette.

- Serge Gainsbourg?

What a disappointment! I had heard nothing but excellent comments about Gainsbourg's genius. What genius? This stuff has nothing I'm interested in and I regret the few bucks I spent buying it.
