A great collection of Gainsbourg's work from 1969 to 1971. 16 tracks include famous songs like Je T'aime ... Moi Non Plus; 69 Annee Erotique; etc. Never get bored in listening these sensational, romantic, yet exotic songs, even i don't know French.

If you're thinking of checking out Serge, this is where to start. Originally disc #5 from a French multi-disc box, it contains his infamous hit (the title track), the complete contents of his masterpiece (the HISTOIRE DE MELODY NELSON album) as well as lots of other goodies from the 1969-1971 period.

There's so much more to him than 'that naughty single', he's like a French Leonard Cohen meets Lou Reed. You don't even have to know French to get a kick out of this stuff. It's one of my very favourite CDs and deserves a wider audience.
