- the best band

Back in the 80's the scorpions were not my favorite band, but i picked up this cd mainly for the bargain price- and was totally blown away! They have an awesome sound, the songs are all catchy and the level of musicanship is very high. I only regret not giving them a chance before. Pick up this album! It's a must have.

- An interesting comp of album tracks from the Scorps

Scorpions' compilation 'Big City Nights' focuses on the less-popular songs from the Scorpions catalog and puts them on one CD. The record spans their Mercury years, 1979-1996.

Yes, this is not recommended for new Scorpions fans, but for die-hard fans like me and fans who want to dig deeper into the Scorps catalog, 'Big City Nights' is a great addition.

Where else can you find 'Kicks After Six' and 'No Pain No Gain' on a compilation? This is is the only place that I can think of.

And, I like the fact that they included 'Wind of Change' in it's 'Live Bites' version from 1995 and 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' in it's 'World Wide Live!' version from 1984. It's rare to see a Scorps comp giving any of those two live albums representation.

Overall, this is highly recommended for the die-hard Scorps fan. A nice little set featuring some underrated classic tunes. Amazing. ENJOY!!!

I picked up this album mainly because of the low price and was suprised that it had a lot of good tracks. It's really a greatest hits CD.
