- Another Chained Melody

For Santana, trying to capatalize among the success of his 1999 album, Supernatural was a very difficult thing to really do. Nevertheless, he did score a hit out of it with Michelle Branch. The Game Of Love is one of the most enjoyable songs ever to have been released recently. The blend of Rock and Pop feel is truly a masterpiece to be held. The song also hit it big, with the Grammy award for Best Pop Collaboration in 2003. Although I wish I could've said the exact same thing for Shaman, but this one song definitely holds up that feel. It is truly a wonderful song.

- Slammin'

Buy this for the two tracks you can't get on Shaman. "Come To My World" is a smoking pop/rock/latin track with great guitars and excellent vocals by Andy Vargas. The sonic quality is huge and sparkling compared to some of the tracks on Shaman. "Curacion" is a melodic treat with lush synthesizers and some of Santana's best playing ever. How these two didn't get on the album itself I'll never know....

- Soulful Santana lends a String

You can't help but admire where Santana has been, where he is, where he's going. In keeping his faith to his style and meshing it with other artists' perspectives he hit one here with Michelle. I had never heard of her before but the easy groove these two hit struck me on the radio on a sunny day in the car (I knew it was Santana and I *had* to look her up as a result). He grinds out his patented chords, providing a solid foundation from which Michelle can dance her vocal scales and weave in her own guitar. Very few songs really grab one's attention, and this definitely got mine.

- Low Key Songbird makes it Big Time!

Game of Love sung by Arizona native Michelle Branch with a legendary CarlosSantana accompanying instumental. This has brought this songbird to instant stardom. I'm not a Santana fan, but this one really kicks it. Branch has caught the attention of many famous folks like Liza Minnelli. But Branch claims she's too shy to sing with her established peers. This low key phenom loves playing for the little crowds.
