I was 14 years old, and my parents had just bought our very first VHS VCR and two tapes to watch that day, one being the Diamond Life video. I was so deeply moved and completely under the spell of Ms. Adu that this tape would be the only one I would watch for close to a year. I wanted to be as suave and charasmatic as the gentlemen in the video, and to be in the company of a woman as universally complete as Sade. This was the video I would show dates, when dating meant coming over to watch TV. In my early twenties, it was the tape I played for my date when I was in the kitchen making her favorite dish. And now, it is the tape that my wife and I watch while cuddling in the silk sheets. This is the tape to watch if you are devoted student to the Art of Love, or would like to get some pointers on your technique. A must have for the true Sade collectors.

I was enraptured when I received my video copy of 'diamond life'. However, this turned to disappointment when I discovered it contained an abridged version of the 'same' cd and tape version. Please bring out the original video of Sade singing all of her songs on the 'diamond life' video. I saw the aforesaid video version 'live in concert' while I was living in New Zealand (1988). It was absolutely enthralling. Sade as always is captivating in this video, her sultry voice and good looks help overcome any shortfalls in these 4 short clips. However buyer beware! You are not getting the full compliment of songs. Is this Shadee? Or Sade!

Why this great video has been omitted from the "Life Promise Pride Love" Video collection will always be a miracle to me. If you want to have all Sade-Videos you need to have this VHS to be really complete!

For those of you who are wondering what songs the above VHS contains, there are four songs: "Hang On To Your Love", "Smooth Operator" (Extended Version), "Your Love Is King", & When Am I Going To Make A Living?". Oh yes! Sade is great! If you are into romantic love songs, you can't do any better then this!
