It dosen't get any better than this. ...It would be wiser to purchase this set and buy the other two instead of buying the three albums included in this set separately.Of the three albums, "Promise" is the one that I enjoy the most. This album has some of my favorite Sade songs on it: The Sweetest Taboo, You're Not The Man and Maureen. In purchasing this 3-disc set, you will get a chance to check out the gems that were not included on "The Best Of Sade". Like another reviewer, I wished that "Stronger Than Pride" would have been included in the set, but these three classics warrant enough satisfaction for me. Purchase this album before the price goes up!!!
I just got this set and what can I say? She sounds just as sweet as she did the first time I heard her. I was working in a record store and I played Diamond Life for everyone who walked in! I gave this set 5 stars even though I wish "Stronger Than Pride" would have been included to make it a complete set (how could we forget the title cut and "Haunt Me"?). What a pity this is the entire body of her work, but her contribution to the music industry and ultimately, our lives is beyond comparison. Sade, thank you from all of us who will never forget you for your priceless gift to us. And, to V. - still the best music for turning off the lights to!
These three are absolutely great albums, however the best one out of the classic 4 is missing, "Stronger Than Pride". If the made a DVD based on the four first albums (Life, Promise, Pride, Love), as well as the Best Of, why couldn't they include Stronger Than Pride? Sade is not the only artist to do this with their box set. Luther Vandross did the same thing leaving Any Love off of his box sets as well. I never understood why. Were they just underrated? I believe in order to have this collection completed, Stronger than Pride must be included in this otherwise fantastic Box Set.
