This is one group I wish was still together. Sting is good as a solo artist, but his songs tend to be very redunant. Every Police song was unique.
I do wish there were more songs on this CD--like "Driven To Tears" "Syncronicity, Part 2" and the original "Don't Stand So Close To Me", but still, I think this album is endlessly listenable, and I highly recommend it.
That should about say it all. I remember these songs so well from my teens. One of my favs for driving on long trips.
I very much like the Police's music and the selection of songs on this album contains many great ones. The only problem is that this is the worst produced album I have ever heard. The songs sound like they're played through an AM radio with a 3-inch speaker. I have all of Sting's solo albums and the production is excellent. Not sure why this one is such a lemon.
I received the product within a week. The cover and sleeve were in great condition. There was a minor warp in the vinyl, but nothing major. Good experience.
A great collection of hits from the band, I agree with the other reviewer about "Don't stand so close to me" I would have prefer the original version. Also, Synchronicity II is missing, as far as I can remember, it was a hit on radio station and on MTV...Am I wrong ?
Overall, you have almost everything you need if like me, you like to get back in the 80's to reminds you the old good times.
