This is the real way to hear live Nico This is one of the infamous cassettes she herself sold at shows. This was recorded from the audience and you get the proper distance and ambience needed to really appreciate her voice. I have not heard every Nico live release there is, but I assume this has got to be the best one because it was so properly recorded. The show itself, however, is only pretty OK. The band seems to wander around in parts trying to pick up on something, too off hand. Some of the songs which she normally plays solo with her harmonium has the band trying to play along. It's kind of interesting however, when you know her usual performance. One great thing is this features All Tommorows Parties with the band. Too often she did this acapella. I really don't know why she did that so often. I actually assumed at one point it was because the band couldn't figure out the chords. But here you get a great live version w/band. This is must for all fans. I hope to see more of these former cassestte tapes released.
