Review - Product Description
These revitalized Scottish hard-rockers set up shop in Prague, wrote all these new songs and hit the studio running. They match furious rock 'n' roll with the almighty power ballad (which they pretty much invented): Claimed; No Mean Monster; Time and Tide; Lifeboat; The Toast; Watch Your Back; Sleeptalker , and more!

- Excellent,Superb,Brilliant !!

To my mind this great band have been on the up since the excellent "The Newz"This offering is even better,I have had my copy for over 2 weeks(Originally from a well known down load site), This cd is that good that i have now 2 cd versions and the vinyl version,Which comes in the UK with a free cd copy(For your car)I don't think there is a weak track on here.Strangely enough i think the best tracks on "Dogz" are the 2 slow songs,"When jesus comes to save the world again" Is different from anything the band have recorded before, But it really is a great song, But to me the best track on here is the hauntingly beautiful "Butterfly" The band should release this as a single, Yes i know the single is not what it used to be but perhaps releasing it might get this great band some well deserved airplay. My advise to all of you is get this cd at any cost,Yes i appreciate it is quite expensive to get on import but it really is worth your money.

- Big Dogz Still Howling

First of all I am not your average Nazareth fan, they happen to be my favorite band of all time. So bias might come to mind in my review; however this would not be beneficial to anyone looking for an honest opinion of the latest release from these legendary rockers. Nazareth have been rocking and rolling the earth for 41 and some years now. You can mention the band Nazareth to just about anyone young or old and they know a couple of their songs, usually love hurts or hair of the dog. This new platter of songs on Big Dogz encompasses everything Nazareth is was and going to be wrapped up into a single record. I truly believe Nazareth have released one of the best rock albums of the year. The songs on Big Dogz are genuine and testaments to what great artists are about. Look, Nazareth now has 22 studio albums to their credit and longevity has not been an issue for a band of their caliber. What Nazareth has proven on Big Dogz, is with great musicianship, writing and total commitment to the bands ideals, great music can be achieved without a doubt. Nazareth has always stayed true to who they are and has not given into the gimmick or tricks façade. I recommend this album to everyone who loves a great rock record. If you have not picked up a new Nazareth album in some time, this would be the time to do so.

- This is the album you'd expect after "Hair of the Dog"!

Amazingly, 36 years later, Nazareth makes an album with the vibe of probably their best album from the 70's "Hair of the dog".No wonder the album has a doggish name! Dan McCafferty is on fire, everything is great! Their last album I liked so much was "Expect no Mercy" in 1977! If it's their last album, they are going with a bang!

- Older album releases are better

This release of songs is lacking the punch they had in their previous albums.

This is only a fair representation of the bands abilities.
