Review - Product Description
Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1977 album from the Scottish Hard Rockers including 10 bonus tracks. One of Britain's hardest working bands, Dunfermline's Nazareth are road warriors par excellence. For almost 40 years, they have performed in front of fervent audiences across the globe and, showing no signs of slowing down, they are currently in the midst of yet another mammoth European tour. Expect No Mercy was the band's ninth album. The bonus tracks feature the mythical alternative, "lost" version of the album that has never previously been heard and has long been coveted by fans. Packaged in a stylish and sturdy wallet-style digipak. Salvo.

- I cant disagree with the first reviewer

I have to come out and say this...I love Classic Rock, I love Hard Rock, I am a big fan of all of these genre's...but I never heard anything from Nazareth beyond a couple of tracks off Hair of the Dog in the first 36 years of my life...I know...roll your eyes...so I bought just one day out of the clear blue this remastered cd and No Mean City. I popped this baby on in my car cd player the other day and it has not left it...HOLY SMOKES...does this band kick some serious A**! I mean this is one muscular, heavy guitar driven album, and honestly I have even listened to the bonus tracks yet, I have listened to the original 10 tracks over again, I cant get enough...the sound is incredible! I have since order 4 more of their cds as I am hooked!! Get this if you are a fan of classic / hard guitar rock ala Montrose or Robin Trower you wont regret you bought it.

- Shoddy remastering?

Is it me, or is the sound on the first half of this remaster flat? It sounds like it was transferred directly from vinyl, with the bass too thick. The bonus tracks sound excellent, however. That being said, the songs are some of Nazareth's best.

- YESSSS!!!!

First, the CD showed up, quick. I've had this album since it was first released and always thought it was Nazareth's best studio album as far as its inclusion of many cohesive tracks.

When I ordered this copy, I was expecting to have the same tracks listed on my vinyl copy. I was astounded that this CD copy included a track list for what were alternate takes and "new" songs that had been considered for an album release in place of the little gem we're all familiar with.

Excellent bonus!

Many of the alternate takes and previously unreleased stuff holds its own and are highly listenable with only one or two weak elements - more listening will be required.

- My first Nazareth album.

Bought this when first came out in 70's through a mail order music service. Never heard them before, bought it because of album cover. I was pleasantly surprised with an album that was straight to the point and rocked like crazy. Highly recommend.
