- Greatest Edited Hits

Once again another greatest hits that edit's songs.I get most disappointed when songs which made them to the greatest hits stage are then edited when put onto the album, yes i am talking about Morning Dew,cut and edited. Then what makes it worse is there is no mention of this and you only find out once purchased.A great collection of songs yes, but their greatest collection of original hits i think not

- Outstanding melodic rock

This is an absolutely brilliant collection of Nazareth's powerful rock sound, including their biggest hits Love Hurts, Broken Down Angel, Bad Bad Boy, Place In Your Heart and This Flight Tonight. The lead singer's vocal could be piercing and rasping but sensitive too, a bit like Joe Cocker.

Their rock version of Joni Mitchell's folk classic This Flight Tonight is spectacular, as they lift the song and give it an entirely new angle. It really soars. And they do the same with their cover of The Everley Brothers' hit Love Hurts.

My favourite is the brilliant uptempo Place In Your Heart, a tuneful and hypnotic classic rock song if ever there was one. Those who like the music of Queen or AC/DC or Meat Loaf, a melodic rock sound with powerful vocals and high emotion, will love the music of Nazareth.

- Bought as a gift.

The recipient was well pleased and when I looked at the content I remembered the group. A good cd, at a good price.
