- Boogie to Boogaloo

Checkout the latest material from any rock band that is 30 years old (if you can still find any),and the reaction is usually "a couple of good tracks" with the remainder of the album fast forgotten. With Nazareth its different! Even as a dedicated fan of over 20 years this album is everything you would expect from a debut offering,I was truly stunned, blown away!

This is what hardrock is all about, yet its not any tired old offering, familiar guitar riffs dredged up from drink sodden wrinklies. The album is crammed with glorious tuneful songs, rasping vocals from one of the most underrated rock singers around and tongue in the cheeck lyrics about drinking and women.

This is Nazareth at their best. After several average albums in the 1980's (when rock music lost its way),the 1990's albums No Jive and Move Me announced that the band were back rocking, yet something was still missing.

Buy Boogaloo.Play Boogaloo very loud. You will then be in no doubt that Nazareth are back, playing as Loud and Proud as ever.

- Grrreat!

I liked it a lot. I was born in 67 in Moscow - Nazareth is still one of the most popular bands in Russia among my generation. This CD sounded as good as their best ballads. Go Dan!

- AS NAZ AS EVER!

If you get a chance to see Nazareth live do so.

If you like Naz buy this recording!

"It is wall to wall on Wall Street" and the best investment advice I have for anyone out there is to buy this recording.

I often prattle on to long in my reviews. I have to words for this exclent Naz--buy it! Wait three words--buy it now!

Bias warning: I'm on a big UFO binge and this is the only non-UFO making it into the player at this time. How can anybody not like Naz?

- Great to see Nazareth get back to hard and heavy rock!

I am a die-hard hard rock fan,and this is the best new album by anyone in the hard rock catagory in quite a while. It is by far Nazareth's best album since "2XS",and the heaviest, most complete since "Hair of the Dog". With the opening "Light Shines Down" you can tell Nazareth is back into hard and heavy guitar rock, and Dan's vocals are the icing on the cake on top of this "pure" sound. Nazareth's new line up should continue to fuel the band for a few more albums,if not more, and they will probably get better as this line-up matures. If you liked Nazareth before, you will love them even more after hearing this album! Especially when you hear "God Save the South". Without a doubt, the best song they have done in 20 years!

- Excellent - Nazareth fans should appreciate this one a lot

As with many, if not most Nazareth albums, you must give this album some serious listening time before coming to any conclusions as far as rating it. The first few listens won't be too impressive (typical for Nazareth). But a true Nazareth fan understands that their music almost always tends to grow on you and sooner or later (usually sooner) you're putting away your other favorite rock band albums in favor of Nazareth, who have always been under-rated for whatever reason. Nazareth is simply a band whose tunes are hard to get out your head. Why? There's just something about this band that prompts you to pick up a beer and crank it up on the best stereo you've got. It's typical Nazareth - happy, up-beat rock that is fun to listen to. "Cheerleader" is about the only song on this album I still haven't gotten in to yet after about a month. The rest are great. Narareth really brings out some excellent, truly original blend of horns and guitars on this CD and they show the audience that they still have what it takes to really rock and not just make noise. The horns really add a touch of class just like some of the background vocals Nazareth has used in the past.

This band and CD is a real class rock act and I highly recommend it, especially to a Nazareth fan.
