Análisis - Product Description
An Ode to Woe, a 2 disc CD/DVD in digibook packaging, perfectly demonstrates why My Dying Bride are still untouchable within the Gothic Doom genre. The show was filmed at the world-famous Paradiso, Amsterdam, Holland, in April 2007. The band, including newest members Dan Mullins (drums) & bassist Lena Ab‚, alongside original members Aaron Stainthorpe & Andrew Craighan (the line-up completed by Hamish Glencross on guitars & Sarah Stanton on keyboards), storm through renditions of favourites from as far back as their 1992 debut As the Flower Withers, right through to latest studio album, A Line of Deathless Kings, and not forgetting the inclusion of timeless MDB classics like The Cry of Mankind

- An Ode To Woe: Live (CD/DVD)

An Ode To Woe: Live (CD/DVD) is an amazing metal album that showcases some of the best doom metal and gothic metal that I have ever listened to. Being a fan of both Metallica and Ministry it was a natural decision for me to pick this album at my local library. The booklet contains all the lyrics which is quite unusual for a live album. The artwork of the booklet fits quite well with the title of the album, i.e. An Ode to Woe and the sound of music which rarely if ever happens. We also get a list of what kind of instruments used and they name them even by brand. 4/5.
