- A good starting point for My Dying Bride. A great album in general.

This was my first My Dying Bride album I bought. Knowing that they are a doom metal band, I was suprised not to hear any screams in this recording, but this turned out to be a very good suprise. This is alot more accessable than "As The Flower Withers" in my oppinion. I love the pianos, guitars, and violins mixed together. This is one of my favorite My Dying Bride albums. Aarons mournful vocals create a gothic piece of artwork. I would call this one of the best albums of My Dying Bride, from my perspective. The live tracks are not that great, so thats the only bad thing. The songs from the actual album are very nice. I have not had a chance to fully watch the DVD yet, but just going off the music, I would highly reccomend this for those wanting a taste of older My Dying Bride, since their albums are more accessable from the newer albums *Songs of Darkness,Words of Light, and For Lies I Sire.* I would call this an enigma of an album, and a masterpiece all in one. This is probably the album I play the most out of the 8 My Dying Bride albums I have. Something about it keeps me coming back. I would highly recommend picking this one up.
