Análisis - Product Description
Tapes of Wrath features 10 Ministry music videos - most of them too controversial for MTV. Even hardcore fans have rarely seen many of them. Now, finally, all of the Warner Brothers music videos released from Ministry, one of the most outrageous and influential industrial rock bands in history, and its spin-off alter-ego, Revolting Cocks, are collected in this, the "Zapruder film" of intense, sinister rock. Selections Include: Over The Shoulder Stigmata Flashback Burning Inside The Land Of Rape And Honey Jesus Built My Hotrod N.W.O. Just One Fix Lay Lady Lay Reload Bad Blood Crackin' Up Do Ya Think I'm Sexy

- bang your head. hard.

This bare bones dvd contains 13 Ministry videos. What more needs to be said. It rocks, and you will too, every time you play this:

from Twitch:

Over the Shoulder

from Land of Rape and Honey:

Stigmata

Flashback

from Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste:

Burning Inside

from In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up:

Land of Rape and Honey

from Psalm 69:

Jesus Built my Hotrod

N.W.O.

Just One Fix

from Filth Pig:

Lay Lady Lay

Reload

from Dark Side of the Spoon:

Bad Blood

from Linger Ficken Good, as Revolting Cocks:

Crackin' Up

Do Ya Think I'm Sexy

I almost gave this dvd 4 stars because there is NO extra material at all, and I'd dearly love to see an interview with Troubled Al and his minions, but I couldn't bring myself to give it anything less than a 5 -- it's the best hard rock in our universe.

- The definitive video collection!

Like I said, this is the definitive video collection. All the cool ones I've seen on MTV late night, and even a few I never knew existed (probably cuz they could never be aired). Contains everything up to Bad Blood, and even includes two revolting cocks videos; seeing Cracking Up in its entirety was a real treat. The video quality is at least as good as I remember seeing them on tv, and the sound is killer. The only bad things about this video are the fact that it has NO extras at all, just "play videos" and "video select", and the fact that it comes in a stupid snap case. Overall, definitely worth every penny for real Ministry fans...now, if only Skinny Puppy would release something like this, I could die happy :)

- These Videos Coined The Term Industrial

This is a great video for Ministry fans. Not only does it show the progression of Al Jourgenson from 1985-1999, it also has two Revolting Cocks videos, which are a great addition to any fan's collection. The RevCo videos are great, showing the humorous side of the Ministry members. If only for Timothy Leary dancing around to "Crackin' Up" or William Burroughs "smashing the control images" with a shotgun in the "Just One Fix video," you will be very satisfied with this purchase. TAPES OF WRATH makes me long for some LARD videos. Al, keep it coming.

- Despite no extras, this is a must own for Ministry fans

Featuring every music video from Ministry up until their last album with Warner Bros. (1999's "Dark Side of the Spoon"), Tapes of Wrath is a must have for any and every Ministry fan. The only downside is that there are absolutely no extras whatsoever, which isn't surprising considering this was more than likely a quick cash in attempt by Warner Bros. before subsequently dumping the band from the label. Despite that, all the videos one would expect, such as "Stigmata", "Burning Inside", "Jesus Built My Hot Rod", "N.W.O.", "Just One Fix", and "Reload" are here, as well as the videos for "Crackin' Up" and "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" from the Ministry side project the Revolting Cocks. All in all, even though there is no extra material to be found on this DVD, Tapes of Wrath is still a must own for Ministry fans one and all.

- Ministry FANS will love this DVD

I thoroughly enjoyed this DVD. I've been a Ministry fan from first listen and this brings back memories of Al with his not-so-tough persona and lots of guts in music. Of course its not a complete story because it does exclude the earliest and the latest stuff, but Al and Paul are the first to admit their embarrasment with their first album and Dark Side of the Spoon wasn't out yet. Any real Ministry fan won't gripe about the production value of the DVD or lack of extras because most of this music isn't about being perfectly clear, its about being out there. This is straight forward Ministry. Enjoy Fans.
