- The Zookeeper's Boy is STUNNING!
I was totally hooked the first time I heard The Zookeeper's Boy a week ago on European MTV. It was the first time I'd ever heard of Mew let alone their music. Haven't had time to research them - just had to buy their music! Evidenced by this song and a few others I've had a chance to hear, Mew's music seems to be a fusion of (the beloved) Cocteau Twins (replete with soaring vocals), Prefab Sprout and a couple of other amazing bands I'm scratching my head to recall. If you love everyone from Interpol, Wilco, Postal Service, Snow Patrol, Hem etc... (I think we're living through a golden age for alternative/indie music) I think you'll probably love Mew.
