- A Step

If you love Mary you will love anything that she does. I enjoy the artist and I feel like she lives her music. This DVD lacked the quality of the "Mary J. Blige - Live in Los Angeles ", but it is a stepping stone for her growth as a performer. Don't get me wrong she still blows most artists out of the water but the DVD has a few mistakes that where notable.

Still a must have for Mary J's fans but novel listeners would enjoy the "Mary J. Blige - Live in Los Angeles" DVD more

- Mary at her best - Awesome dvd!

What can I say? Mary J. Blige is the ultimate Queen of Hip-Hop and R&B. I'm 26 years old, and I've grown up with Mary during her 10+ years in the business. This is a must have dvd for all Mary J. Blige fans and it is well over due. I have been waiting for this for a long long time! Mary is the Aretha of our generation and she more than proves herself in this performance. Definately check it out. Also, don't forget to catch the Live from LA dvd. I saw the Love & Life Tour twice in NYC and the dvd is awesome as well. Much love to you Mary...always. I hope there are more dvd's to come from you. All the real Mary fans need now is a dvd with all the videos on it...that would be great.

- Well all that i can say is...

I mean, who doesn't like Mary live? Buy it and add it to your Mary collection. Have it playing during a party in the background on mute...its something about Mary.

- SO THIS IS WHY THEY CALL HER THE QUEEN...

THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT DVD TO ADD TO YOUR MARY J. BLIGE COLLECTION. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE EXTRA FOOTAGE WHERE YOU GET TO SPEND THE DAY WITH MARY. ITS LIKE SITTING BACK AND WATCHING AN OLD FRIEND OF YOURS DO WHAT SHE DOES BEST.

- Painful screeching of a strangled cat...and I'm a FAN!

I was thrilled to buy this DVD especially based on the reviews I read so I was SHOCKED when I played the concert for myself & some friends. All 4 of us, female fans in our 30s to 40s were very disappointed with Mary's performance. Basically, she sounded terrible. I never knew that Mary was a studio baby but her LIVE sound is awful. It was just over an hour of screaming. The band wasn't that talented. And she didn't do a grand production with costume changes, fancy sets or dancers like other singers who basically don't need all that artifice because they can sing! Quite frankly, I needed to be distracted by something else because her sound was disturbing.

I own concert dvds of Beyonce, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Micheal Jackson, Prince, USHER, Cher, and others. I know a good concert when I hear it, even an okay concert. THIS concert was BAD.

Buy Mary's albums and stay happy.
