Review - Amazon.com
Little Big Town's hook is their four-part harmony, and as hooks go, this one is pretty terrific. There are moments so pretty and folky and sweet they almost sound like Crosby, Stills, and Nashville. And the fine wall-of-mostly-acoustic-sound, while at times a little overloaded with drums and unnecessary instrumentation, generally serves their efforts to penetrate a market that is at present a little bloated with music that lacks essential nutrients. To their credit, the band wrote nearly all the tunes on their debut CD, and, even more laudable, they have chosen to swap lead vocals, risking audience confusion and the lack of instant recognition that comes with letting one member run the spotlight. If Little Big Town stand their ground, earn some character, and occasionally risk a little less production, they may mature into a fine addition to the vocal harmony tradition. --Henry Cabot Beck

- Such an awesome debut!

I have been a fan of Little Big Town since I saw their first video on GAC and have been anxiously awaiting this CD. It was well worth the wait!! The songs are all well-written (6 of the 10 by LBT) and performed with heart by Jimi, Karen, Kimberly, and Phillip. I love the way that they change-up their singing (unlike Trick Pony, where Heidi sings lead most of the time) on their debut album. This CD is great for long car rides, just put the windows down, crank it up and sing along!

Their hot first single is a great, positive song, as are the rest on the record. "Everything Changes" is an upbeat, catchy song and "Pontiac" has a great message about getting away from it all. "Never Felt Love" has a great acapella ending and "A Thousand Years" is another catchy, very singable song. Another upbeat song with a positive message is "Tryin'", they sing "it's about livin' instead of dyin', it's about spreadin' your wings and flyin'...it's all about tryin'". There is also an incredible ballad by the name of "Stay" on the CD - Kimberly's voice is so powerful, it is great!

"Still" is personally my favorite song on the CD - I love the harmonies on the chorus. All the songs on this CD are really awesome though, I listen to it constantly and try to catch LBT's live show whenever they are nearby.

If you want to hear the future of country music, buy this CD, you will not regret it! LBT will be around for a long, long time!

- Little Big Town is Great!

I've heard this album panned. It was even on some type of list on Amazon for CD's NOT to buy. That upset me a lot! I don't understand it. This group is amazing and I love their sound. I loved this CD and think it was well worth the money! The second CD is very good, too, so buy them both!

- Awesome harmony, can't-get-them-out-of-my-head lyrics

This CD is GREAT! The vocals are great individually, and the blended harmonies are absolutely the BEST I've heard. Many of the songs are so fun to sing, like "Don't Waste My Time", "Everything Changes", and "Pontiac", that I often catch myself singing them, so much so that even my 7- and 3-year-old kids have begun to sing along with me! We are all huge fans! I'm not surprised they were the #1 top-selling CD at Fan Fair. Everywhere we went we ran into LBT fans. Lookout skeptics because, ready or not, LBT is here for a good time AND a long time!

- Best album ever!!

I have been a Little Big Town fan ever since I saw them open for Keith Urban in June of 2004. They blew me away with their harmonies and how much talent they have. I bought the CD and it has quickly become my favorite CD in my collection of over 1200 albums. Everyone should hear this CD. It's wonderful. I have to disagree with the review of how the CD was recorded. I think they were geniuses to do it the way the did. As a result, it sounds so different than anything else I've ever heard. That is what makes it the great album it is.

Also, these guys are the friendliest people I've ever met. I love them all to death. I've met lots of performers, but these guys are by far the best. I now consider them more as friends than as performers. They leave the competition in the dust. Phillip, Kimberly, Jimi, and Karen are the hottest things out of Nashville with more raw talent in singing, songwriting, and performing than any other act in any genre of music.

- Great Music

I loved this Group the first time I heard them. Took me forever to find out their name. You need to get this Group more radio, tv, and what ever. Tell about the band members. Kimberly Davis (45)years old. There wasn't a person who heard this group that didn't love them.
