I have been a fan since the Australian debut of Locomotion. For years, seems like "light years" I had thought there was no beating the anthem Better The Devil You Know until this. Kylies best moment until next time. This icon will not cease to amaze me with her amazing ability. A definate hit!!!!!!
This is the rarest version of the Your Disco Needs You single to collect! So...if you can get this version, you're more than lucky! It's so great! Expect nothing little from it!
It became and still is today, the most campiest fun song of 2000 in Germany, Australia and the UK and fans were longing for it's release here in the UK.
It didn't happen and many were very dissapointed because it would've did great in the Charts...and maybe won a few awards!
This CD Single features 4 versions and remixes, 3 of them Your Disco Needs You, 1 of them Please Stay, the third single release here in the UK.
It beings with the Casino Radio and Club Remix which is exactly the same at the 3:38 version, a great track, Kylie sounds beautiful and this version is better than the album version but not remixed too much! Who would want to make a really good track bad!?
The album version (UK) & The Almighty Remix also do fans proud. I love the french monologue in the original - what reason do you have to hate it!? The almighty remix is nearly 9 minutes long so it is excellent!
The last track is Please Stay. It is the 6:32 minute remix by 7TH District Club Flava, the best remix of Please Stay!
So...treat yourself! 10/10!
This is the single that came too late to be the hit it deserve. Still, with all its Village People retro and Kylie at its... and doing some of her best vocals ever, this should have been looked at by the record company and read written "big numero uno" all over. The tempo, back chorus, soaring back vocals just scream to be danced to over and over again! Kudos to Kylie!
This song could be named as "THE CAMPEST SONG EVER". It is an ode to DISCO and this is where it belongs.
The maxi I have in my collection is a limited australian version.
Here is the track list:
1. album version
2. german almighty radio edit
3. uk almighty mix
4. casino radio and club mix
5. german album version (the "rap" part is spoken in german)
+ hidden track
One of the best songs in Kylie's career, sadly not promoted in UK and US.
Great remixes made it one of the best maxi singles ever.
Great dance song with an addictive rhythm....it is by far one of the mixes you shoud buy. The team from Almighty records out of the UK have done a wonderful job. I am happy to say I know the Almighty team (hi boy's...) they remix songs into a dance track that is unbelievable, YMCA the old classic by The Villlage people is now mixed almost 9 min long, as well as working with LeAnn Rimes, Shania Twain, Sheena Easton, Debby Harry (Blondie), Pet Shop Boys, Pink (get the party started is SO HOT...) Anastacia just to name a few. Also a few other fav's of mine is Whitney Houston's song "Just one of Those Day's, Almighty mix and Tainted Love, and a couple others from Soft Cell" I sure hope that Whitney gets her act together, she is brilliant, and has a voice 2 match...So get a hold of the Almighty Mix of ANYTHING, even Diana Ross and the Supremes NOW have a fantastic 2004 remix of Love Child, and You Keep me Hangin'On.
