Kiss My A** was even better than I expected. Great videos from the early days, all on DVD so you can listen to what you want when you want. The commentary was interesting also; and none of the Ace/Peter bashing that existed in some other pre Reunion stuff from Gene & Paul. A must have for any fan from the early days!!
Ok, so after researching this puppy to find out if it was worth the time, I went out and picked it up, I was not disapointed, there are a few week spots like the anthrax peice and the gin blossom thing, why waste film on these bands when you could have put more concert footage of kiss themselves in its place, nothing against those bands but it is a kiss dvd so we want kiss, anyways, I am sure you have read other peoples reviews and heard all the whining and complaining about quality, but the only thing that is important here is that the picture quality is better then anything I have seen on bootleg, the sound isnt that great but the picture quality is decent, I have one complaint and that is there is no reason why they put the love gun performance on here. they should have left it out or they should have put kiss in make up performing but there is a funny part durning the song where a fan jumps on stage and high fives bruce right before secruity runs and tackles the guy off stage again, The coolest parts are Aces solos, and All the commericals, The commercials are especialy cool for me because I wasnt around when all of this was happening so Its cool for me to go retrospective for a minute. anyways, buy it enjoy it and hope we get some more videos like this. and a psycho circus 3d concert viedo with all four original members.
The original lineup of KISS was the best, period. This DVD has some great footage of Paul, Gene, Ace, and Peter. If it's 70's KISS you crave, this will blow you away.
I bought this on VHS when it first came out and liked it the best of all KiSS VHS releases for it featured the most Make-up performances, along with classic tv commercials and all 4 of current Kiss (then) talking about the band and songs, very well done.
