You just know that You've Got Another Thing Comin' is gonna be the closer here! It is; leading up to it are ferocious live versions of Breaking the Law; Exciter; Tyrant; Out in the Cold; Freewheel Burning; Riding on the Wind; Dissident Aggressor , and four more.

- Venue info might be incorrect.

First of all, I absolutely love Judas Priest and have for the past 30 years of my life. I will buy anything they put out :-)

The only gripe I have about this 'setlist' is that the venue information for a couple of the songs is probably incorrect:

"Heading Out To The Highway"

"Breaking The Law"

"Out In The Cold"

"Freewheel Burning"

All of these tracks show a venue date of Memphis, TN 1986, which I highly doubt. I think they're tracks off of the "Priest...Live" album (1987). Somebody might have confused the Memphis, TN (1983) show with the Dallas, TX 1987 (Priest...Live) show. All of these tracks are perfect soundboard recordings by the way.

If anybody can clarify, I'd appreciate it. I own a bunch of Priest 'boots' and have never come across a 1986 soundboard recording from Memphis, TN. If such a beast does indeed exist, share the joy LOL.

Otherwise, most of the other songs can be found on various bootlegs. The fact that Pries (or Sony?) decided to put out a disk such as this one hopefully means that some of the better soundboard bootlegs that are floating around might see the light of day as official releases someday. I am sure that the main members of Judas Priest probalby have vaults full of unreleased material...stuff fans like me would kill to listen to, be it good or not.

- This is just "Best Of': from the live albums

If you already have the other live Judas Priest albums, you have no reason to get this. This is just a compilation of tracks taken from Unleashed In The East, Live Vengeance '82, Priest...Live, and A Touch Of Evil Live. If you have none of those cds and you're a Priest fan, then yes, by all means, get this cd. You'll probably like it. But since most Priest fans already have all the live albums, this cd is totally unnecessary.

- Bow To Your Knees and Repent if You Please

This supposedly live album from Judas Priest are actually taken from other live albums in the past: Priest Live, Unleashed in the East and A Touch of Evil Live. So it's a rehashed "live" cd, with the tracks found elsewhere. Unleashed from the East are those tracks from 1979, Priest Live the 1986 Memphis show and 2005- 2008 wotld tour from Touch of Evil. Tracks 10 and 12, though also on previous live albums were actually available for the first time here in a differant rendition. Key tracks are: Judas Rising, Breaking the Law, Exciter, Out in the Cold and Beyond the Realms of Death. But, still not bad even though it's a rehash of previous live albums pulled together here for a low price. Not bad to recommend, but those not familiar with the pre- Stryper- christian metal formula Priest sticks with might find it a little silly. Certainly an influence on bands like Stryper with nearly the same formula. A blast from the past.

- good place to start

Priest always sounds good live, probably better than the albums. Big songs like Freewheel and Riding on the Wind sound best is a big arena. This is why Ripper aint here, as a Priest cover band he played in bars, in Priest he played small clubs. Ripper was never arena grade. His whole act was stand there look tough and babble "what's my name" then sing the Priest greatest hits. He could sing OK as a club act, but he had NO STAGE PRESENCE whatsoever. Rob is a Metal God, Ripper is going to bus the tables after his show.

- ... is this really necessary?

It doesn't happen often that I feel the need to write a review - or at least comment on a product.

Yep, I haven't bought the 'Setlist' CD, however, I know each song of that list and IMHO this is

not a VeryBest collection - by far not. I'm not going to start naming my favourites, but hey, no Painkiller??

No TurboLover? Not one song from the Ripper records? This offer is nearly insulting and for sure no adequate deal

for JP fans at all. Even for new fans of JP I highly recommend picking one or two of the proper live records

as they at least have a closed 'feeling', not this 'we take one song from each concert, no matter how old that was'-crap

which is quite popular right now ... ever since there are good songs on this record, for those I give a star.

One off for songs that don't belong there, one off for ignoring the Ripper songs, one off for jumping from concert to concert

and one off for taking live songs that were already published on former live records.

Seriously, even the cover fails.
