- Don't mess with this one

RAM IT DOWN (in capital letters, yes) is unarguably Priest's heaviest album when it was released. The style greatly differs from all previous recordings, and I wouldn't agree to the saying that it sounds similar to Turbo, because it certainly doesn't. Generally I think any potencial buyer should give a listen to any track in here and decide if he likes this style. If you don't then don't bother buying this, because most likely you wouldn't enjoy it. But if this style does appeal to you I guess you'll be having a good time with this. Basically the style is exactly somewhere between Painkiller and Defenders (again, forget Turbo). Most of the songs are good, some are great, but I think you could consider several of them 'fillers'. The great cuts are the title track (featuring the best metal solo in my opinion ever), Heavy Metal, Hard as Iron and Jhonny B. Goode. Then you got several other strong songs such as Blood Red Skies (its a power ballad, like Touch Of Evil or Cathedral Spires) and Come And Get It. The rest of the songs are also enjoyable (I'm A Rocker is great), so its pretty much a strong album, but you gotta be sure you like it's sound, otherwise you may be disappointed. I certainly like it!

- Judas Priest in recovery.

Ram it Down is a step up from Turbo. The drum machine was a bad idea but Ram It Down's overall listenable. A few songs stand out more than others, Ram It Down and Heavy Metal are my favorites. This isn't Stained Class or Screaming for Vengeance and won't ever live up to them but it's worth giving a chance. It's a lot heavier than Turbo, less mainstream and there's less synthesizer. I'm not saying that Turbo was that bad but it sounded like a pop album in parts.

- Wicked!

Ultimate cd. Ram it down is easily one of the coolest albums of all time. Ram it down shows what heavy metal should be like today. This cd has rip-roaring solo's, good drumming, wicked singing, good, heavy riffs. I don't know how many people say that this album is so bad. Just goes to show dumb people are.

Possibly the best songs are - Ram it down, heavy metal, love zone, hard as iron and come and get it.

Get this album!

- Ripping it UP

This album is a break away from Priest's earlier style and boasts a new unique sound that you'll find no other album out there.

You may say my view is skewed by my love of this band but let me tell you, I wouldn't love this band if it was not for this album. This album along with Painkiller represents, in my mind, the pinnacle of Judas Priest's history and words cannot describe the awe inspiring power of tracks like "Ram It Down", "I'm a Rocker" and "Blood Red Sky".

If you're a fan of good powerful metal and you don't know Judas Priest, I recommend this album and Painkiller.

- RAM IT DOWN!

Utterly awesome. This is there equal best cd with Painkiller. Ram it down and the other songs have very brutal solo's. Heavy metal has really cool guitar riffs. I hope you get this cd people. Because this cd is one of the best metal cds.
