I like this video because it provides a rare opportunity to get to know the artist in a way that feels, in a way, even more intimate than a live performance. This is thanks to Joni's narration about her life experiences and artistic inspiration, which is artfully interwoven with the songs. We also see examples of Joni's unique photographic style that she calls "The seer and the seen". On Passion Play, Joni takes "The seer and the seen" concept to full-motion video.

My favorite songs on this video are Night Ride Home, and Passion Play. On this video, Joni's warmth, intelligence, and depth of feeling comes through and that touched me in a beautiful way.
