This Is Gold is an 18-track Johnny Cash collection featuring material recorded for Sun Records in the '50s, including "Get Rhythm," "Big River," "Cry! Cry! Cry!," "Hey Porter," and "Rock Island Line." Although this isn't a bad budget-priced disc, there are far better collections available, offering more songs and better sound for not much more money. Also available are volumes two and three in Disky's This Is Gold Johnny Cash series along with a three-disc box set that conveniently collects all 54 tracks. ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
