The Diplomats are led by multi platinum artist Cam'ron & also include prot‚g‚'s Juelz Santana, Freeky Zeeky & Jim Jones. Over the past 3 years, they've assaulted the streets & radio airwaves with their Harlem sound. Since their inception, albums by The Diplomats, Cam'ron & Juelz Santana have each debuted in the Top 10 scanning more than 2 million combined units. On My Way To Church is a hugely anticipated affair as evidenced by the album's 1st single "Certified Gangstas" which was immediately added to HOT 97 in New York & is burning up the streets of N.Y.C..

- Jim Jones>..... Dipset.... BBBBllllaaatttt

i judge fairly every album i get now... as far as jim jones go... i never looked at him as rapper until i got this album tell u the truth the only reason why i bought the album was because i like the song twin towers... but when i went threw the cd i was amazed at alot of things like... lovely daze/memory lane was like damn y he did not come out with this a single... then u got let's ride, only one way up and a few other songs where he shows his talent to me i think lyrically he is the strongest in dipset because his cd is not talking about hoe's and pushing drugs the whole cd.... aww man he should of made a whole song to memory lane that song with that guitar is so ill

This album was hyped online for months before its release, and with the much-talked-about radio drama between the Diplomats and MA$E the month before, everyone was ready to see what Capo Status had to offer.

Unfortunately, in the opinion of so many die-hard Diplomats fans, the final product falls short of the buzz created on mixtapes like the Certified Troublemakerz series and Jones' own Ambitionz of a Gangster and Ryder Muzik. Even the lead single, Certified Gangsters, had to be stripped of its orginal guest appearances by The Game of G-Unit and Lil Flip due to rumored vetoes from up above. Nonetheless, Capo presents a heavy hitting album for the most part, with tested and approved songs in Get Crunk Muzik, Certified Gangstas (the original version), and This Is Gangsta, some other ones we've heard before, and an okay blend of new material. Its the tested songs that hold this down, which is why it of course falls short of Capo's mixtape efforts because obviously for copyright reasons etc. all the bangers from those couldn't be released without messing them up somehow. Overall, this is a very solid effort. Forget all the hate, forget Mason Betha (you a preacher lying!), everyone else. You have to be able to understand and appreciate this type of music to feel the power, these other reviewers just don't know, they can stay on that PB n J with no bread, the real music continues to be played.

- A Hot Ass Mess

I do not know what on earth led me to listen to this album, I guess I was punishing myself for skipping class today. This album is nothing but a hot ass mess, from the less-than-stellar beats to the boring lyrics. Honestly, some of these rap production companies might want to invest a good 500 dollars in buying proper music making and editing software for their "artists."

Jim Jones's "On my way to Church" was probably one of the better cd's of 2004. I admit as a rapper, jim jones is not my top choice as one of the best, but jimmy really did his best on this cd. Overall out of the 21 songs(really about 16 songs),he really shows that he has some lyrical content on most of his songs(Bend n' Stretch,Jamaican Joint,This is Jim Jones,Lovely Dase/Memory lane,Only one way,Twin towers, and Taking over the World). Though he is not the best rapper in dipset, his has definitly grown as a lyricist and this cd attemp in my opinion has made him much better than Juelz Santana,J.R. Writer, and Hell Rell. There is only one problem:he has way to many people featured on his cd. This may not attract viewers at first, thinking that he has no lyrical content and that he is compensating for it by having guest apperances. As unlikely as it may seem, Jim Jones does have rap talent and he has most definitly won my respect. This is a must buy cd.
