Review - Product Description
2008 release from the rapper, label founder and A&R kingpin. After spending his early career behind the scenes, Jim Jones is well on his way to becoming a Rap superstar in his own right. Following the release of Hustler's P.O.M.E. (Product Of My Environment) and its monster single 'We Fly High (Ballin')', Jim signed a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records and Koch Entertainment. Harlem's American Gangster is the first release within the framework of this new partnership and will be worked/marketed by both labels. With this much talent and support, there's no stopping Jim Jones!

- Harlem American Wanksta

We all knew that Jim Jones couldnt rap to begin with and his last three album are evidence of that fact. With this album he proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that he should step away from the mic and stay behind the scenes. In spite of his rival Jay-z(and really does anybody care about their beef?), he not only names the album Harlem American Gangster, he also takes shots at Jigga throughout the album. Harlem American Gangster is one of the tracks and there are thinly disguised jabs at Jay-z

elsewhere on this album. To add insult to injury, Jim Jones has a rapper from his crew on here by the name of Mel The Matrix who SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE JAY-Z!!! He appears on Byrd Gang Money and I Gotta Have It. Lookin At The Game is a failed club banger that would clear any dancefloor quickly. Jim Jones tries to get deep on Rockefeller Laws but since Jim Jones is about as deep as a puddle of dog pee the song falls flat. The Dame Dash skits are just pathetic. It's just Lame Dash babling about nothing as usual To tell you the truth Hustler's P.O.M.E was wack but even that album was better than this. The lyrics suck and the production was horrible. In short this album is a royal stinkbomb. I can only recommend to Jim Jones fans. If you cant stand his froggy voice, it is best that you avoid this album. Your not missing much. Standouts: Get real, there are none.

- Harlem's American Gangster.....

After listening to this lp I have to say I was disappointed. I think that it focused to much on Jay-Z. The non-stop hating and the skits with Dame Dash...man, do yu have anything else to talk about besides JayZ? I know that you are better than that. I mean you previous LP was nice but this one is just as bad as American Gangster cd JayZ put out (don't get me wrong because I am a huge fan of JayZ).

- Biting more than Dracula

When did biting become kool? This klown names his inferior release American gangster right after jay-z just released a lukewarm album named American gangster. Biting back in the day would definitely lead to you getting your teeth knocked out. Nowadays its kool. Anyway, this release is wack just like all of Jenny Jones' releases. I hate his delivery and the way his voice sounds when he attempts to spit rhymes. The beats are subpar and sound like they were made on a casio on its last leg. Then the skits by dame dash, constantly hating on jay-z made the release even worse. These two lames need to get off jay-z's tip and try to get something going for themselves. Avoid this disease infested release at all costs.

- Jimmy's Mixtape is as a good as a album

This is a mixtape Jim Jones put out and it did so well Koch put it out in stores as a mixtape/album. This mixtape sold more than some peoples actual albums. The only thing I don't care for is the fact its based on mocking jay Z's American gangter album and Jim Jones hates Jay so he dropped this as a slap in the mouth. Besides that cant deny the actual music it's hott I recomend this cd. But please remember its format is that of a mixtape b/c thats what it is it's NOT a album.
