Janet is back, and this time, she's happy happy happy! I love this song. It's fun, it's perfect for the film (The Nutty Professor 2:The Klumps) and it's just infectious!
I love the 3rd remix on this single. The Jonathan Peters mix. The spanish guitar is throughout the whole song and helps to build and build this club mix to a classic bridge! It's just a beautiful version of the song and it will have you snappin' and shakin'. I listen to it twice a day, once to work, once to home. Helps in the commute! Keeps that road rage down! :)
If you like Janet, this is classic Janet. Her signature laugh is present which makes you smile when you hear it. LOVE that laugh! She seems to be having the time of her life and is finally at a HAPPY point and I think this song shows and proves that.
Get this single and add it to your collection. You'll love it and you'll be humming it all day, in the shower, anytime, you'll be "Nutty Nutty Nutty" for it!
This song is about inner beauty. "Doesn't really matter what the eye can see/cause I'm in love with the inner being". Janet is the best!!! Her songs always have great messages.
Janet is just off the hook, I love her and all that she does. The woman is just fantastic. She is just pure genius like her brother. There is no comparison to anyone else in the pop industry. She is just the best. "Doesn't Really Matter" is one of her best songs to date. I can't wait for her new album to come out. I will be the first in line to buy it. Janet is #1 and always will be.
Unlike some of her more recent efforts like "Damita Jo" and "All For You", this song is just a good, clean dance number. The remixes are so-so... the Jonathan Peters Club Mix is really good but its just simply too long (I've never been a fan of 8 minute remixes). The intro of the "Dance All Day" remix makes it seem like you're about to hear something particularly special, but 30 seconds into the track, you're already reaching for the "NEXT TRACK" button on your CD player. The other remix isn't even worth mentioning because it's just so bland. This is one of her best songs since "Rhythm Nation". Buy it for the original version; if you are buying it to hear the remixes, you're making a mistake.
At long last, Janet has finally released another single! This is actually a light hearted song by Janet proclaiming her love to someone whom other people can't accept. The moral of the song is that if you love someone, it doesn't matters what other people think. The song has a great rhythm, and is very easy to digest. However, it's sometimes quite hard to listen to what Janet is actually singing about as her voice is constantly muffled out by the music. As for the remixes, only the Jonathan Peters remix is the saving grace of the whole CD, and even then, it's not that good a remix. The least said about the other 2 remixes the better, with the Dance All Night remix being downright irritating. Let's hope that more remixes by other DJs will be released in the days to come. My overall verdict: Get the single because the song is really nice and heartwarming, but brace yourself and don't be disappointed by the so-so remixes.
