I just got this CD today, along with The Arrival, They both kill!, If you haven't heard Hypocrisy before Abducted, then beware, this is a bit different, more gutteral growls, anyways, this CD kills, killer vocals, killer riffs, killer drumming, and the production is good, So far I own, Fourth Dimension, Hypocrisy, Into the Abyss, Catch 22, and The Arrival, they all kick A$$, each are different, killer band, my freind got me into them, and I don't regret buying any of they're cds, My favourite tracks, "Apocolypse", "Slaughtered" "The Fourth Dimension" "Mind Corruption", but they all own, I encourage you to buy this if your a fan of the band, or a Death Metal fan.

This is a cool Hypocrisy album. After "Penetralia" and "Osculum Obscenum" Hypocrisy decides to slow down a bit, with slow-heavy songs, like "The Fourth Dimension" or "Apocalypse". But you will find fast songs like "Mind corruption" or "Orgy in blood". Good stuff from a classic death-metal band. No surprises in this album. What really annoys me is the sound. I don`t know, maybe it's just me, but it seems that all Hypocrisy albums sound better than this "The fourth dimension". Anyway, this album is Hypocrisy %100, it`s not "Penetralia", but it's still Hypocrisy. Far away from the best albums such as "The Final Chapter", "Abducted" or the before mentioned "Penetralia".

The first and most meaty Hypo-effort you hear before you. For the fiery breath of these piercing screams and knuckle scrapping gnarls are none other than the Dragon's. Peter Tagtgren, the only true metal king of vocal, riff and melody mastery. Hypocrisy are the leaders of the world of modern metal and as of yet there can be no close second. Not remotely close are any bands of any kind. No other metal can match. Lead are the disciples by Michael Hedlund and his twistingly melodic low frequencies, Lars Szoke and his meat cleaver beatings, and Peter "the Dragon" Tagtgren with his freakishly massive wingspan covering every style of metal known to man, including the ones he created out of north wind. That's "thin air" to you. Belated, but still whilst you've the wherewithal, Make your Hypocritical Oath now and feel the Dragon's fire 'till the north wind picks you up and takes you a'journy; to Hell.

Once again Hypocrisy recorded another 5 star disc. This time with Peter Tagtgren taking on vocal duties as well. (Much better than Masse Broberg's in my opinion.) I can't imagine a better black/death metal release.

If you have never heard anything by Hypocrisy, then you don't know what you're missing out on. This in my opinion is their best release, with Osculum Obscenum, and Abducted right along side. Everytime Hypocrisy release a new CD, you are sure to be surprised. This is the album where Hypocrisy start to make their music heavily emotional, which is not really heard on any death metal release before 1994 (in this quality anyway).

This is an epic album, yet it still retains it's underground traits. This is Hypocrisy's big step forward in many aspects, firstly, Peter Tagtgren takes on the role of vocals/guitar, replacing Masse Bromberg (vocals on first 2 albums), Peter used to be on guitars only, now there are only 3 members in the band. Secondly, the structure of the songs, the sound qulity, and imagination put into this album are all improved on this album by 300%. This album has fast tracks, slow melodic tracks, progressive tracks, and each song has something special to make you remember it and hum it when you're not listening to it.

If you want death metal's best, look no further than this CD. This is the BEST! I rate this album 6/5, but the limit is 5/5, that is why the album is called The Fourth Dimension.
