- Second of two volumes covering all their hits

Hot Chocolate were the first British black group to achieve consistent success over a number of years, deservedly so based on the quality and variety of the R+B music that they recorded. The star of the group was lead singer Errol Brown, who also wrote or co-wrote many of their songs. They had thirty original hits on the UK charts between 1970 and 1984, plus a further two 1987 hits via re-mixes. All their original hits plus one of the re-mixes can be found on this volume and its companion. This volume covers the period 1977 to 1984 in chronological order, with one of the re-mixes added on the end.

Their successful run began with the fourteen tracks on volume one and continued with such classics as So you win again (their only UK number one hit, though they came close at other times), Put your love in me, No doubt about it, Girl crazy, It started with a kiss and What kinda boy are you looking for, all UK top ten hits. A re-mix of You sexy thing just made the top ten in 1987 but a re-mix of Every 1's a winner (not included here) just scraped in to the bottom of the charts for a couple of weeks.

They also recorded great songs that were less successful in the charts, among these being I'll put you together again, Every 1's a winner and I gave you my heart didn't I, their last major original UK hit - it peaked at thirteen. All these and many more can be found on this collection.

If you enjoy seventies soul and disco music, you will surely enjoy Hot Chocolate's music.

Wonderful not just soulful but pop and heart of rock and roll. No track is boring like some albums today.

More good soul music for the retro in all of us.You must have a good ear for this music to enjoy it."Everyones a Winner" will get your blood flowing with its hard synthesizer/guitar rhythm.
