This band is outstanding and this album, absolutely crucial. Their lyrics are socially aware and responsible. I think they are considered Post-Hardcore or maybe 'Screamo', technically, but when they scream, there is a reason. (I don't like those labels and classifications so much). Have you ever been so angry, so upset, so frustrated that you just had to scream? I'm sure that you have, as have we all. The music is intense, punchy, melodic, throbbing, tranquil and violent, all at once, often in the same song. Amazing band. 100% cool, guaranteed. I also respect frontman Charlie Simpson for walking away from his stardom in a very, very successful pop music career to start Fightstar. Simpson has told some sources that his work with the UK pop band 'Busted' was a mistake and "was like torture." I can definitely agree that hearing 'Busted' is torture.
