- If you bought this for Rock Me Amadeus...

It seems like every individual has their own favorite version of Rock Me Amadeus. If that song and that song alone is the reason you're buying this album let me possibly redirect you... the version you will get on this album is the German single version (aka the Gold Mix) This is different than what you're used to hearing on the radio as other reviewers have mentioned. The typical US radio version is found on compilations like Entertainment Weekly 1986... for those of you looking for the Salieri Mix (the version with the dates in Mozart's life at the beginning) the closest you will find in the US is on More Pure 80s. This is basically the Salieri Mix but slightly shorter I think. It's got that timeline you've been looking for anyway! If you're basically a fan of all of Falco's music then this cd is great from start to finish. But for those of you desperately searching for your own special version of Amadeus, hopefully this review will save you some time and money!!

- It's just great!

Every song in this CD is GREAT. I bought it because it has two of his greatest songs that I couldn't find in other Falco's "collections": "Der Kommisar" and "Helden von Heute". Also, the version of "Rock me Amadeus" and "Vienna Calling" are different to the versions I already have (of course, since these are the original ones and which I had never listened before). This CD is really worth what I paid for it. I'd recommend it to you if you like Falco's music. You won't get disappointed whatsoever, at least I didn't.

- naja, es macht spass.

I own this album and I like it...I'm a German Lit scholar who grew up in the 1980s, so I still have a soft spot in my heart

for whacky German/Austrian Pop music...Falco, Kraftwerk,

Nena(99 Luftballons), and more recently, Die Fantastischen Vier,

whose _Vier Gewinnt_ I bought during my year-long sojourn in Germany as an exchange student in college (1992-93).

When I taught High School German a few years back the kids

All this music makes me want to put on my glasses, dress a black turtle-neck with black pants and prance like Dieter ;-)

This CD has most of Falco's major stuff. The version of ROCK ME AMADEUS is fine...like other reviewers I prefer the U.S. version, but this one's fine.

Es Lebe Falco!

- read this before purchasing . . .

this is the best collection of Falco available anywhere on one cd. however be warned that the version of rock me amadeus on here is the same gold mix that shows up on the falco 3 import album. it is decent but not as good in my opinion as the version on the radio in the u.s. another complaint is that all the material on this collection is pulled from falco's first three albums; einzelhaft, junge roemer, and 3. it would've been nice to have had some of the better songs from emotional, wiener blut, and especially out of the dark. good sound quality though.

- Not the version I'd heard on the radio

I love the songs that are on the CD but Rock Me Amadaus and Calling Vienna aren't the versions that played on the radio stations and I liked those better. The rest of the songs are fine.
