The first album I ever owned (1959/60) was "The Fabulous Style of the Everly Brothers" (I still have it). In recent years I have browsed the numerous compilations of Everly CDs and found many of them to be very similar. "When will I be loved" stood out from the rest because of the tracks from "Fabulous" plus more of my favorites. This compilation is very fresh. The harmonies are different from the Reunion Concert. That is what makes it so appealing.
Although advertized as "Mono" there are a few stereo tracks. This CD is also a piece of history. These versions were recorded before their voices matured and so has a different sound from that to which I have become accustomed. I highly recommend this to any confirmed Everly fan and also to those who want superb examples of their early recordings.
