- Everything But The Girl 101

Okay, class. Let's get started! Today we will be going through a quick overview of Everything But The Girl. From this point forward we will be referring to them as EBTG. Any questions? Okay... let's begin. EBTG was formed in 1982 by Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn. During the course of their career as EBTG, they have recruited other competent musicians, as side men, to assist them on their quest for musical perfection. They have traversed light latin jazz (Each and Every One), symphonic pop (Come On Home), folk (Under The Bridge), coffeehouse acoustic (The Only Living Boy in New York), lush adult pop (Driving) and everything in between (choose the rest of the songs on this disc). For those of you who may have accidentally heard them in 1995 with their club remix of "Missing", this is what came years before that breakthrough hit. "HOME MOVIES" is a comprehensive encapsulation of what EBTG has done right in the world of pop music. They are artists, not money generators and this is the reason, I believe, they have had such a long-lasting career. Proceed immediately to the checkout with this item and just remember, this is the Cliff's Notes version of EBTG. Please examine their other offerings as they contain many hidden treasures. Once you have studied these works, you may register for the classes: "Amplified Heart", "Walking Wounded" and "Temperamental". Have a great day... class dismissed!

- Great CD

I am a big fan of EBTG's pop jazz music and this album is a great compilation of their best songs and makes for wonderful listening. All those SOS fans out there should try this British duo.
