I don't have this CD, but I do have all their studio albums, so I know the songs pretty well.

It's a good compilation of some of the big hits, other singles and album tracks. Songs like The Final Countdown, Let The Good Times Rock and Cherokee are great rocking tracks, while songs like Carrie, Open Your Heart and Tomorrow are beautiful ballads. They all have meaningful lyrics and good melodies, which is more than what can be said about most of today's music.

But, although this is a very good compilation, I have to say that if you're going to buy just one EUROPE compilation, I would recommend that you buy "1982-1992" instead...

With no doubt Europe is one of the best music bands in history...in this cd we can find some of their hits...obviously there are many other incredible songs of this band, but the ones in this cd are surely known even by many peolple that does not know a thing about the band... From my point of view this cd includes some of the greatest Joey Tempest's compositions, besides that, we cam hear John Norum's and Kee Marcello guitar solo's...

This unknown CD count with excellents songs such as "The Final Countdown"(one of my favourites) and "Cherokee". This is a good option for buying a very good CD.

If you like Cheese then you'll love this Velveeta! These guys killed that 80's keyboard like no-one else. Of, course you may remember "Carrie," or maybe you're more happy forgetting it, then this would not be for you, cause the other 9 jams won't impress you much either; if you're not lovin' on "Carrie," that is. "The Final Countdown," this song redefines Swedish Hairband Rock!

This album gets only 2 1/2 stars from me as oppose to the 3 that is listed for two major reasons. How could they possibly forget "Rock the Night" and "Superstitious," they only had 10 spots to fill and they missed 2 of Europe hits... I mean how many hits did these guys really have? It's not that hard to figure out, it's not like a Beatles compilation or anything.

Anyways, these guys are my second favorite thing to come out of Sweden just a bit behind Swedish meatballs. However, they did finish above my number 3, which is wooden shoes (it's more of a Dutch thing anyway), and my number 4, which is IKEA (those busters make you do all the work yourself), they also finish above my number 5, which is Europe's 80's haircuts (so they beat out their own hair which is pretty good cause those were some sick mullets). So congrats to Europe, and the entire "Super Hits" series. I mean "Super Hits," is it really that hard to put more than 10 songs on any given disc; last I checked they hold like roughly 80 minutes of music or 700MB???

Listening to "The Final Countdown" right now (pure bliss) (is Jan Hammer on this jam???) and signing off... "Carrie, things they change my friend... Carrie, maybe we'll meet again... somewhere... again..."

While I can't quite place "Europe" on the same level as Bon Jovi, they are still a great group with strong vocals and good music. This is a nice collection of songs . 'Final Countdown' is a good opener. 'Sign of the Times' has unusually good vocals and is a strong contender for the best song on the record. 'Carrie' has a nice gentle sound. 'Cherokee' is nice and notably harder. 'Time Has Come' is alright. 'Open Your Heart' has a nice gentle sound to it. 'Halfway To Heaven' is listenable. 'Tomorrow' has a nice sound. 'Prisoners In Paradise' has notably strong music and vocals and is another strong contender for the best song on the record.

While I am not the biggest "Europe" fan, I have come to respect them. They are a great group if you want to listen to someone with an edge, but you don't want to go full blast either.
