Poor audio quality, no-name publisher, even gaps inside songs when whoever taped this hit the pause button by mistake. Don't buy it.
If you're going to rip-off an artist by putting the artist's work out there without paying him, at least have the good manners to take some time to make the rip-off sound decent. Any teen-ager with a free audio editing program could have made this listenable in about 45 minutes.
No, this is a straight line recording off of a high generation VHS tape. Sonic garbage.
OK, bootleggers are a fact of life, I guess, it's just this one is lazy.
And shame on Amazon for selling bootlegs. I'd not have thought they'd support ripping off artists (no one on the CD is making a penny on it, so you know).
True the audio on this leaves a little to be desired. The audio is not "professional" by any means - the original source of this is the "in house" mix from the Shoreline Amphitheater which used it's own camera's to show the concert to the crowd - this was released as the DVD of same name.
At first listen you will not like the audio, but rather then say it's bad (which I did) I LISTENED to the rest of it and whatever mistakes there are, these do not matter if you ENJOY the show.
That said - I recomend this to any Clapton fan, as well as those that like Dire Straits even though this concert only features one DS song. The interplay between Eric and Marc is fun to watch and listen to.
The audio quality of this product is mediocre. I am assuming that the problem is in the recording phase. Either that or this is a pirated copy made with inferior recording equipment. The main problem seems to be the very limited dynamic range as if a lot of compression was used to record it. I find it hard to believe that a professional recording made at a live concert can have this poor quality sound.
I bought this dvd not because i am a fan of Clapton but as a fan of the guitar style of Mark Knopfler. Clapton plays his heart out but it is his singing that really stands out. His guitar solos become tedious as the concert progresses in contrast to Knopfler's variety of sounds and styles. Knopfler's solo in Badge simply blows Clapton away and is easily the highlight for me. I came away impressed however with Clapton's vocals and energy so overall a great dvd to watch for both Clapton and Knopfler fans
