Enya On My Way Home UK CD single

- Wonderful Remix

This On My Way Home single is a remix of the original version found on The Memory of Trees album. It is shorter and omits the interlude. The remix is very well done and has extra percussion, Enya singing in a more of a vocal up style and added drums in the final chorus. This is one of my favorite Enya songs. There is also the On My Way Home video version which was only used in the On My Way Home video. It is an extended version of the remix version which also includes the interlude (I wish they would release this version on cd or digital download as it is the best version of the song in my opinion). The song On My Way Home is a sister piece to Orinoco Flow as it includes the same use of Pizzagogo strings and continues the famous "turn it up, turn it up, turn it up, up, adieu" lyrics which is mixed in the background of the final chorus of this song. This particular cd for sale is very rare hence the price, but well worth the buy for any collector.

- Great! (But go for a lower priced used version...)

Firstly, I'd like to say that I can't stand how high priced singles are. It's no wonder people steal music online. Don't get me wrong, I love the songs but where is this money going? I would recommend buying a used version... I did. :)

Anyway, I May Not Awaken is one of my FAVORITE Enya songs. It's has so much feeling. Enya's composing and vocals are beautiful and Roma's lyrics are... well, depressing but so very poetic. (I believe it's Roma at her best).

The track isn't perfect though. There is a glitch in the second verse when she sings "so far from home" (I fixed this problem with Sound Forge but unless you're skilled with a sound editor, you're stuck with the glitch.) There is also noticeable audio clipping on the track caused by, I'm assuming, the organ. Other than that, the song is great.

Morning Glory is a VERY nice vocal/piano instrumental, but it has the same clipping problem.

I wish the producer, Nicky, would have spent a little more time fixing up the tracks before they were allowed release. The audio clipping seems to be a running theme on the Enya singles I've purchased so far. I'm don't advocate illegal download, however, I would recommend listening to the full tracks somewhere online before purchasing. (Maybe by going on youtube or some other site.) I did buy a used version so I only spent a few dollars but I can imagine if I had gone and spent 20+ dollars on a new version I would be very disappointed in the audio quality.
