mostly a narrative cd with very little music--not what I thought it would be what a waste of time and money
At The Hayride is good for early 1950s country fans as well for Elvis fans. Very homey about the people going to see the performers onstage and gives that love for Elvis and that they had for the other performers. It was after this performing at the Louisana Hayride that Elvis got into "Rock and Roll" until his army years. When he got out of the army Elvis did not know what to do- Bing Crosby said to me "He is lost". When Elvis asked me direct I said that he could he choosing the songs that he wanted people to learn and live by- he went straight back to the kind of the Louisana Hayride and the Grand Ole Opry. At that point rock and rollers lost Elvis Presley and the world gained his deepest love.
